The Statistics Data & Graph Fair 2026 will be held at Shinjuku Station West Exit Plaza on October 17 and 18, 2026. Admission is free. The fair presents award-winning statistical graphics, government survey information, regional exhibits and hands-on content designed to make statistics easier to understand.

Sunday ends three hours earlier than Saturday, so check the closing time if you plan to visit late in the day.

What you can see

The fair displays winning works from national and regional statistical graph competitions, including entries from Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba and Kanagawa. Visitors can compare how different subjects are explained visually through charts, colors and layouts.

Other areas introduce government statistical surveys, the Survey on Time Use and Leisure Activities, data tools and an exhibit looking back on 100 years of the Showa era through statistics.

Stamp rally

A stamp rally is planned around the exhibition areas, making the event suitable for visitors who want a more interactive way to explore the displays. The organizers also promote the fair as an opportunity for families and students to become more familiar with statistics.

The fair is organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Statistical Information Institute for Consulting and Analysis.

The venue is in the Shinjuku Station West Exit plaza area. Shinjuku Station is served by JR, Keio, Odakyu, Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines. Follow signs for the West Exit and the underground event space.
