Ebisu, Harajuku & Yoyogi Stations 120th Anniversary: Events, Goods & Dates
JR East is celebrating the 120th anniversary of Ebisu, Harajuku and Yoyogi stations in October 2026 with station events, limited merchandise, a walking program and a digital stamp rally. Dates differ by program, so it is useful to decide what you want to see before traveling.

Joint ceremony at Ebisu Station
The three-station ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on October 31 outside the East Exit ticket gates at Ebisu Station. The program includes an anniversary-logo presentation, a performance by the JR East Tokyo brass band and displays of the three station characters.
Limited goods at NewDays
From October 23, selected NewDays stores at Yoyogi, Harajuku and Ebisu sell anniversary merchandise featuring the station characters Yoyotan, Hararin and Fukunyabisun. Items include plush goods, key holders, bags and pens. Availability differs by station and products are limited.
A special baked chocolate souvenir produced by Colombin is also scheduled for sale at the three stations, priced at ¥880 in the JR East announcement.
Station-specific events
Yoyogi Station – October 24
Activities are scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including children’s stationmaster-uniform photos, a railway work-themed activity and a character workshop. A separate paid railway-job experience is also offered through JR East’s booking service, subject to availability.
Harajuku Station – from October 31
Harajuku plans anniversary-message displays, an AR quiz rally around the station area and a historical photo exhibition through January 31, 2027.
Ebisu Station – October 31
Ebisu plans children’s stationmaster-uniform photos, railway work activities and an original badge-making program from late morning into the afternoon. Historical photo displays continue into November 1.
Walking program and digital stamps
The Ekikara Hiking course starts at Ebisu and takes participants through areas around Harajuku and Yoyogi, combining nature, history and art. It runs from October 23 through November 3.
The EKITAG digital rally runs from November 4 through December 20 across nine locations, including the three stations and nearby cultural or commercial spots. Completing all designated points unlocks a commemorative digital stamp.
Access
Ebisu, Harajuku and Yoyogi are all on the JR Yamanote Line. Depending on the activity, use the station exit specified in the official announcement because event areas and NewDays stores are on different sides of the ticket gates.
